Born in 1978, Chip Kennedy was raised in the small town of LaPlace, near New Orleans.  His love for Photography began at an early age when his grandmother gave him her old Canon AE-1.  From a very picturesque childhood documenting life was something  he found most fascinating.  

He was first introduced to Fashion Photography in 2012 when he took assignment as a photojournalist for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week working for various product companies backstage such as Kevin Murphy, Treseme, Paul Mitchell, Nars Cosmetics, Smashbox, & Dermaorganic.

In 2013, having completed his first assignment in the mainstream of the largest fashion platform in the western hemisphere, Shortly after his first MBFW assignment he attended a Fashion Group International Event in New Orleans.  This is where he met world renowned Fashion Photographer David Leslie Anthony.   David extended the opportunity for Chip to work with him as his photo assistant.  It was then after the editorial with Factice that Fashion Photography was a new found interest and passion he wished to turn his camera too.  Working continuously with David Leslie Anthony on various assignments he took with a humble opportunity the various teachings and lessons that comes with the business aside from the technical approach to the craft.

With only 4 years under his belt in the Fashion Industry as a Photographer, he has had the opportunity to publish his works in a variety of platforms around the globe with his continuous work as a photographer at New York Fashion Week.  Clients/Designers such as Falguni & Shane Peacock, Mark & Estel, Marc Bouwer are just amongst a few he works with continuously.  In late 2016 he has taken on a new emphasis in the business building the studio of his dreams at his home in New Orleans, La which will be known as Kennedy Studios schedule to be completed in Summer 2017.  Here he will hone in on his story telling by way of Fashion Film, Editorial, & Production. His works are featured in such publications as Photovogue Italia, Xander Magazine, Cue Magazine, Art & Design just to name a few.  Chip Kennedy is a storyteller, and continues to strive to elevate his workflow by the way of education, studying the works of the past, and a calculated inspiring vision of how he through his work assist the new generation taking the past into the future.  Fashion to Chip Kennedy is an art, a business, an intellectual pursuit.
